My Best Friend

My best friend is named Sarah and we have known each other since kindergarten. We met on the first day of school and hit it off immediately. Over the years, we have become inseparable and have been through so much together.


Sarah is one of the kindest and most caring people I know. She is always there for me, no matter what I am going through. She listens to my problems and offers helpful advice, and she always knows how to make me laugh when I am feeling down.


Sarah is also extremely intelligent and hardworking. She consistently excels in her studies and has always been at the top of our class. She has a bright future ahead of her and I have no doubt that she will achieve all of her goals.


In our free time, we love to hang out and do all kinds of activities together. We enjoy going to the movies, trying out new restaurants, and going on hikes. We also love to just relax and have movie nights at home.


One of my favorite memories with Sarah was when we went on a road trip to the beach. We packed a car full of snacks and played music the entire way there. When we arrived, we spent the day lounging on the beach, swimming in the ocean, and building sandcastles. It was such a fun and carefree day and I will always treasure it.


Sarah is not only my best friend, but also a sister to me. I am so grateful to have her in my life and I know that our friendship will last a lifetime. She brings joy and positivity into my life every day and I am thankful for her unwavering support and love.

My Hobby

 My hobby is collecting and restoring vintage bicycles. I have always been fascinated by the history and craftsmanship of vintage bikes and I love the feeling of bringing an old, neglected bike back to life. I started my collection about three years ago, when I stumbled upon an old, rusted bike at a garage sale. It was love at first sight and I knew that I had to have it. I spent hours scrubbing away the rust, replacing the broken parts, and tuning it up. When I was finished, the bike looked and rode like new. Since then, I have been hooked on collecting and restoring vintage bikes. I have a small workshop in my garage where I work on my projects, and I have learned a lot about bike mechanics and restoration techniques through trial and error. ધુમકેતુ ની વર્તા પોસ્ટ ઓફિસ

 [ લેખક  પરિચય : શ્રી ગૌરીશંકર ગોવર્ધનરામ જોશી. એટલે શ્રી ધૂમકેતુ. ગૌરીશંકર એ ગોવર્ધનરામ જોશી ના ત્રીજા પુત્ર હતા. તેઓશ્રી નો જન્મ તા. 12 મી ડિસેમ્બર 1892 ના રોજ , સૌરાષ્ટ માં જલાબાપાની તપોભૂમિ, વીરપુર ગામે થયો હતો. પ્રાથમિક શિક્ષણ વીરપુરમાં જ . 1914 માં મેટ્રિકની પરીક્ષા પાસ કરી. પછીનું ઉચ્ચ શિક્ષણ જૂનાગઢની બહાઉદ્દીન કૉલેજમાં. 1920 માં મંબઇ યુનિવર્સિટીના સ્નાતક થયા, સંસ્કૃત અને અંગ્રેજી મુખ્ય વિષયો સાથે. એમનું અપૂર્વ કહી શકાય એવું સર્જન તો ટૂંકી વાર્તાનું જ. એકસાથે 19 વાર્તાઓનો નમૂનેદાર વાર્તાસંગ્રહ ‘તણખા-1 ’ 1926 મા પ્રકાશીત થયો . અમદાવાદમાં શિક્ષક તરીકે રહેલા ધૂમકેતુ સૌરાષ્ટ્રના ગોંડલ શહેરમાં પણ શિક્ષક તરીકે ફરજ બજાવી હતી. અમેરીકા માં પ્રકાશીત થતુ “ stories from many lands” માં , તણખા મંડળ -1 માંથી “ પોસ્ટ ઓફીસ” નામક વાર્તા ને સ્થાન મળ્યુ છે. ઓક્સફર્ડ યુનિવર્સિટી એ ‘ટેનટેલ’ નામની શ્રેષ્ઠ પસંદ કરેલી 10 વાર્તામાં પણ “પોસ્ટ ઓફીસ” નુ સ્થાન છે. “પોસ્ટ ઓફીસ” વાર્તામાં અલીડોસાના પુત્રી-પત્ર વિરહ નો વલોપાત આલેખાયેલો છે તે વિચારબીજ ગોંડલની એક જૂની પોસ્ટઓફીસ પરથી છે.
